K2P Online

White Sands Primary: With “millions” trudging the field last sunday, K2P looked set to start their new campaign with a blast as they geared themselves with a new jersey, the return of their star midfielder from Sweden and a couple of new faces. The day was however marred by an incident at Telok Kurau Sec where the warden refused to allow match to proceed due to bad weather. K2P and opponent subsequently pilgrimed to White Sands Primary after some superb recceeing by SNHA.

The game started scrappy as both teams tried to adjust to the small playing field and tiny goalposts. K2P soon found their rhythm and gained control of the midfield marshalled by Noor Latasa (Ewah!). With him defending deep, the rest of K2P attackers were allowed to run riot at the opponent’s defence. Fazli and Fadzli were impressive darting down the flanks terrorizing the opponents. Naufal was at his usual best with his sublime skills. It wasn’t long before K2P broke the deadlock with a maginificent cross in by Fazli which was connected by Fadzli who cooly headed the ball in. K2P 1 - WLT 0

The game went on with WLT gaining momentum and seeking for an equalizer. The K2P defence comprising of Bobby, Raiyan, Zaki and Daud was however rock solid. At the half hour mark that an interesting incident happened. A bird latched onto Wan Loba’s shirt thinking it was a pirate’s bird and refused to fly off, not until it smelled zola’s hand. :p

The bird proved to bring some luck to K2P. When the game resumed play, Noor Latasa powered in a header from a Fazli corner. 2-0.

The game was equally dominated in the 2nd half with both teams squandering multiple chances. K2P ex-captain Alfian was almost impressive with his dribbling if only he didn’t slip at every turn. WLT pulled one back in the 80th minute with a screaming left foot shot. K2P defence however proved to be too impenetrable as Raiyan and Azmeer? toiled their new jerseys to protect the posts. Final score K2P 2 - 1 WLT.

Alhamdulillah…

Today’s win against NTG Rangers wasn’t without a hard fight. Back to avenge their 6-1 lost in the first leg, the visiting side went into battle very much fortified.  Akin to the weather today, the prognosis of the game today was: uncertain.

A hard-fought first half

NTG rangers was much stronger in their midfield, attack and in particular their goal-keeping. With their keeper presenting a steady pair of hands, the home side was not able to break the deadlock despite numerous shots on goal. It took roughly 20 mins before K2P scored their first out of 5 goals. An throw-in in-swinging right-footed cross by Naz was headed home by zola who perfectly timed his jump before flicking the ball with his head into the right hand corner. K2P 1- 0 NTG Rangers. The Rangers were’nt ready to give up without a fight though. 5 mins upon restarting the game, their speedy striker hammered in the equalizer. Game on. k2p 1 - 1 NTG Rangers.

With a boosted morale, the Rangers produced a series of blistering attacks and it wasn’t long before they were 2-1 up. K2P responded by fielding in 3 imports today and it proved to be fruitful. A well-timed pass by wan loba set up Fadhly who curled the ball to the back of the net. 2 All.

From then on, K2P appeared to be keeping their momentum, dominating the game, and it wasn’t long before Yazid, playing as a right full back, found himself free in the six-yard box, hammering in k2p’s third goal. Minutes before half time, a perfectly timed throw-in by Raiyan was converted by K2P’s star midfileder, Razee, who volleyed the ball to the back of the net. k2p 4 - 2 NTG Rangers.

K2P dominates 2nd half

K2P, with its experience, went on to dominate the 2nd half only to miss chances after chances.  The score was set to remain the same when a defensive lapse by the Rangers allowed  Md Noor to tap in  k2p’s 5th goal from near range. The visiting side had a chance to reduce the deficit but saw their shot parried away by Zola who instantaneously stick out his hand.

Well…it’s good that we win..and we dominated the 2nd half but yeah..we could have scored more..they [k2p] should have converted those chances. Overall it was a good game…a hard-fought game.
